- Minister Wayne D, Shemwell, Sr. is the co – founder and Pastor of New Harvest Ministries in Louisville, Kentucky. Shemwell is the former pastor of the First Baptist church of Lagrange, Kentucky where he pastored for three years. He is a former member of the United States Marine Crop spending six years serving his country. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a Master’s in divinity. He has been active in the community for many years. In 2002 he made an unsuccessful bid for metro council in Louisville. He hosted for twelve years the award winning television program the Shemwell Report. He is a lifetime member of the N.A.A.C.P and has served as treasurer for the Louisville, KY branch. Additionally he has served as unit commissioner for the Lincoln heritage council of the Boy Scouts of America, chairperson for the Louisville branch of the Urban League’s annual youth golf scramble. In addition to the ministry he served as the Chaplin for the Oldham County Sheriff’s Office and as press secretary for the interdenominational Ministerial coalition.
